June Pack Meeting

Pre-Summer Pack Ice Cream Social June 9th, 7 PM at the DCC sponsored by Pack 111.

Families, please review the SPCA wish list & consider bringing a donation to our Pack Social on June 9th. There will be a representative from the Yolo County SPCA there to accept the donations & she has hinted that she will be bringing something for the scouts.

Let's display the generosity of our Pack for an excellent community cause. If you would prefer a monetary donation don't forget about the Angel Fund - this emergency fund has helped SPCA create many happy endings.

• Announcements:
  • Camp Cayuse - Its not too late to register for Camp Cayuse. The late registration deadline is June 1st.
  • Tiger Cubs - Please contact your den leader if you have a son or know of a boy who would like to join as a Tiger cub (first grade) for 2009-2010
  • BALOO Training - The Pack is encouraging adults to become BALOO trained. Please check the training website and consider taking this class to help the pack maintain its ability to organize outings for the kids.
  • Camp Lassen - There may be room available still to attend Camp Lassen July 12th-15th.

Camp Cayuse Changes!!

We have good news and more good news! Based on last year's feedback, and many other reasons we won't list here, the date and location of Camp Cayuse has changed..

HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS….Camp will be the same week in June, same amount of hours, but now shortened to 3 days and moved to a fantastic new location, Cache Creek Nature Preserve. We will still be providing the great program you have loved from previous years…wood & leather projects, crafts, evening programs and OF COURSE…BBs & Archery!  We will also include more water activities to beat the summer heat.

HERE'S MORE GOOD NEWS:

• Early Registration deadline extended to APRIL 7th
• Only "3-Day Staff" are required to attend Staff Training
• ALL PARENT VOLUNTEERS are welcome to join at noon to help with craft set-up.

Timely Arrival at the Pack Meeting Could Net Your Scout a Prize

New this year-"on-time" raffle tickets will be handed out at the door until start time. If you are late-no ticket! A drawing will be made and a prize awarded to one lucky scout each meeting.
